Per tante ragioni il Calzaturificio Titano è uno dei nostri preferiti. Dopo essere stato a livello artigianale uno dei migliori negli anni Sessanta, sviluppò negli anni successivi - quelli della gestione di Adriano Sciuccati - design fantasiosi e innovativi. Questo grazie alla creatività del titolare e alla collaborazione di stilisti come Salvatore Deodato e Armando Alberti.
Armando Alberti (1932 - 2009), nato a San Vittore (MI), creò col calzaturificio Titano le sue produzioni più elaborate. Dopo la chiusura del Titano aprì uno studio a Cerro Maggiore e collaborò con altri calzaturifici, sia nel distretto parabiaghese, sia nelle Marche. Fra gli altri, disegnò le calzature per le collezioni di Versace.
Le scarpe con le ruote vennero realizzate nel 1971 come oggetto celebrativo per il MICAM dello stesso anno.
The Titano shoe factory is a favourite of ours. Well known in the Sixties because of the handmade production, they later managed - under the guide of Adriano Sciuccati - to develop fanciful and innovative designs for the booming youth market. The owner's creativity was flanked by designers like Salvatore Deodato and Armando Alberti.
Armando Alberti (1932 - 2009), born in San Vittore (Milan), with the shoe factory Titano created his most innovative designs. After Titano went out of business, he opened a studio in Cerro Maggiore (Milan) and designed for a number of shoe factories both in the Parabiago district and in the Marche region. Among others, he designed footwear collections for Versace.
The Titano car shoes were marketing props made in 1971 for the MICAM exhibition of the same year.
