Titano’s modelist was Armando Alberti, but starting from the sixties, Sciuccati had begun to hire designer Salvatore Deodato from the Marche region. Deodato brought a breath of fresh air that led to a dramatic twist throughout the district. Titano’s Deodato were way ahead of its time and sometimes hard to sell so that Sciuccati was forced to sell below cost.
Anyway, those were marvelous shoes! Fantastic materials and great finishings. Not to mention the colours ...With the new tanning process that we developed, the designers had the chance to play with colours. And the first one who tried new paths was Salvatore Deodato. Andrea Pfister, Manolo Blahník and other designers followed suit...

Salvatore Deodato, siciliano, ma marchigiano di adozione, ha portato una ventata di novità e ha dato una svolta alla Moda e alla produzione in tutto il distretto di Parabiago. Persino eccessiva per i tempi, perché le scarpe Titano disegnate da Deodato erano fatte molto bene, ma troppo all'avanguardia, per cui Sciuccati faceva fatica a vendere e talvolta era anche costretto a vendere sottocosto.
Ma che scarpe erano! Lavorate bene, ottimo il materiale. E poi le colorazioni… Grazie alle nuove tecniche di concia che avevamo sviluppato, i modellisti avevano la possibilità di sbizzarrirsi giocando coi colori. E il primo che ha sfruttato fino in fondo le nuove possibilità offerte dalla tecnologia è stato proprio Salvatore Deodato col calzaturificio Titano.
