Negli anni '30 il siciliano SALVATORE CANGEMI é emigrato negli Stati Uniti per aprire la propria fabbrica di calzature a Manhattan a nome CANGEMI SHOES. Un marchio di qualità e successo durato sino agli anni '60. Il modello qui sotto, trovato da Dirty Fabulous, non avrebbe sfigurato indossato da Madonna negli anni '90.
Sicilian immigrant SALVATORE CANGEMI opened his factory in Manhattan back in the Thirties under the moniker CANGEMI SHOES. A successful brand of quality footwear that lasted until the Sixties. The model shown here, found at Dirty Fabulous, could have been used by Madonna in the Nineties.

La tradizione Cangemi é continuata con ROBERT CANGEMI, figlio di Salvatore, che però ha chiuso il proprio laboratorio di scarpe a Garden City, NY - dopo quarant'anni di attività, alla fine del 2009.
The Cangemi tradition lived on thanks to Salvatore's son ROBERT CANGEMI. Unfortunately he closed shop at the end of the 2009 after 40 years of activity. He was based in Garden City, NY.
