Nel suo libro intervista
con Eric Reinhardt (Rizzoli International Publications, 2011, di cui un estratto si può leggere qui) Christian Louboutin dichiarò che da ragazzino,
all’inizio degli anni ‘80, non era attratto dall’universo della moda; il suo desiderio era creare modelli per le ballerine delle Folies Bergères,
sull’esempio di Ernest e ... Capobianco.
In his interview with Eric Reinhardt (Rizzoli International Publications, 2011; an excerpt can be read here) Christian Louboutin
said that when he was seventeen, in the early 80s, he was not
fascinated by the world of fashion; his desire was to create shoes for
the Folies Bergère dancers, and his source of ispiration was the example
of Ernest and Capobianco.

Nome oggi quasi dimenticato, a quei tempi Pascal Marius Capobianco era il “bottier degli artisti della Comédie Française e consigliere tecnico del Ministero dell’Educazione nazionale”, come dichiarava nelle sue pagine pubblicitarie.
Nato nel 1902 a Marsiglia, Capobianco iniziò la sua
attività presso il bottier italo-francese Nicolas Greco in rue de Capucines e
poi aprì una sua bottega nel 1930 in Faubourg Sant-Honoré a Parigi. Collaborò
per qualche anno con la stilista Madeleine Vionnet e poi fu tra i fondatori nel dopoguerra
dell’Entente Professionnelle de la Haute Botterie insieme con nomi come Sarkis
Der Balian, Argence, Joseph Casale, Maniatis.
Name almost forgotten today, Pascal Marius Capobianco was at the time the "bottier for the Comédie Française artists and technical advisor for the Ministry of Education", as stated in his advertising pages.
Born in 1902 in Marseille, Capobianco began his career with the French-Italian bottier Nicolas Greco in rue de Capucines and then opened his own workshop in Faubourg Saint-Honore in Paris in 1930. He worked for a few years with the stylist Madeleine Vionnet and he was among the founders in the postwar of the Entente Professionnelle de la Haute Botterie (The professional entente of high-end bottiers) along with names like Sarkis Der Balian, Argence, Joseph Casale, Maniatis.
