STYLE INTO REBELLION | WILLIAM BURROUGHS & HIS STUFF

1985 | William Burroughs by Allen Ginsberg
From "Beat Memories: the photographs of Allen Ginsberg"

From 1966 to 1974 William Burroughs lived in London. He took residency in Duke Street, St James's - a central London area nearby Piccadilly.
Bill (William Burroughs) was in every sense the St James's man, right down to his beautifully tooled shoes by John Lobb on St James Street, made to fits his unusually long thin feet. Lobb had his hand-carved wooden last on file. Bill had a neat small-brim fedora and wore a Montecristi panama from Locke's of St James's in the summer.
